Captain Richard Phillips is Hollywood material and, according to MSNBC, media hot property.

In April he made international headlines by sacrificing himself to Somali pirates to protect his crew. Some Navy SEALs then stormed the lifeboat he was being held hostage on and everybody lived happily ever after (except for the teenage Somali pirate now rotting in an American prison).

Captain Phillips got to meet President Obama, Columbia Pictures have bought the rights to his life to make a movie AND he got to throw out the first pitch at a Red Sox game!
