Hailing from Hobart, Tasmania, Eleri Mai Harris is a journalist and cartoonist whose work has appeared on two sides of the Pacific Ocean – including at the ABC, Medium, GoComics, Symbolia, Narrative.ly, Seven Days, Crikey, CityNews, Beat Magazine, and way back when at Melbourne’s SYN FM.

Eleri has a graduate diploma in journalism from RMIT in Melbourne, Australia, and a Master of Fine Arts from the Center for Cartoon Studies in Vermont, USA.

A long-form non-fiction comics enthusiast, Eleri has worked as the Associate Editor of The Nib and is a current card carrying member of the American Comics Journalism Illuminati.

In mid-2015, Eleri returned to the Land Down Under where she is teaching journalism at the University of Canberra and making comics. Making lots of comics.
